ALCI Purpose Our purpose is to promote the professional development, advancement and recognition of International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) through education. With the shared aim of protecting, promoting and supporting breastfeeding.

WHO Code of Marketing of Breast Milk Substitutes

ALCI supports the WHO Code and the implementation of the International Code of Marketing of Breast Milk Substitutes and all subsequent resolutions of the World Health Assembly and heighten the recognition of the consequences of Commercial breastmilk substitutes and advertisements of same. ALCI does not invest in or accept funding, donations , advertising or sponsorship from sources that do not comply with the International Code or that are listed by the International Baby Food Network (IBFAN, see www.ibfan.org).

ALCI reserves the right to remove without prior notification any images and/or comments or advisory which ALCI deems to be in breach of the WHO Code, or not in keeping with ALCI ethics and ethos.

Statement of Inclusivity

ALCI is dedicated to the Protection, Promotion, and Support of Breastfeeding for all persons. ALCI is inclusive to all persons and the intention of written material produced by ALCI specifically, such as protocols, statements, and position statements is to remain inclusive to all breastfeeding, chest feeding, and human milk-feeding individuals. For the purpose of such materials and throughout this website the terms Breastfeeding and Mother are chosen without bias or prejudice. ALCI fosters a positive ethos and operates a policy of equal respect, regard, and fair treatment for all visiting this website
