Mairead O’Sullivan

Mairead a mum of 4 who’s passion for breastfeeding support stems from year’s  working a Nurse in Neonatal ICU  & SCBU.

 

Has working in PP as a Lactation Consultant  and now works as Infant Feeding Coordinator in University Hospital Kerry Maternity Services  where she has been leading on implementation of many breastfeeding standards the implementation of a colostrum harvesting policy has been proven to increase exclusive Breastfeeding on Discharge.

 

Mairead provided staff education to Nursing Midwifery & Obstretic & Paediatric Colleagues regularly and has recently started providing BF education to the Kerry GP Training Scheme. Since March 2021 Mairead has been a general member of ALCI Council.
