ALCI Annual Conference A Triumph
Posted: under Update.

The first weekend in October saw this year’s ALCI Annual Conference take place in the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth, Co. Kildare. Over 80 delegates attended, and feedback was very positive for both the educational and social aspects of the event.
Highlights included two presentations and workshop from Keynote Speaker Prof. Fiona Dykes as well as presentations on Hypernatraemia, Tongue Tie and the recently published National Infant Feeding Survey.
Many individuals who are long established in the promotion of breastfeeding attended, as well as those who are just beginning on the path of providing support to breastfeeding mothers and their babies. The networking aspect of the weekend is, indeed, as valuable as the educational aspect.
A very enjoyable Members Dinner took place after the conference, and Saturday saw a lively and informative AGM during which three Council members were wished all the best for their retirement.
The next ALCI event will be the Spring Study Seminar in University Hospital, Galway on March 13th. Further updates of this event will be available from this website.
