ALCI Council recently represented ALCI as part of a special reception in Áras an Uachtaráin in celebration of National Breastfeeding Week.
The reception, which was hosted by Sabina Higgins, included a ‘Latching on’ morning and involved representatives, mothers and babies from ALCI, Cuidiú, La Leche League, Friends of Breastfeeding and Association for Improvement in the Maternity Services Ireland (AIMS),
ALCI Council Member Regina Keogh spoke on behalf of ALCI and thanked Sabina and Michael D for the work they have done on behalf of breastfeeding families and breastfeeding health professionals in Ireland. Regina presented Sabina with a painting by Cork artist Mia Foley, which depicts a breastfeeding mother.
